# Achilles AI

> Achilles is a free, local cybersecurity harness for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Pick a folder, scan your own source code, and triage leaked secrets, vulnerable packages, risky CI/cloud config, and dangerous code in a durable Findings ledger on your machine. Use any cloud model (or none). Arrav, a free local edge model, is coming soon.

Achilles is a native desktop app (Rust core, Electron shell), not a cloud scanner or chat wrapper. Findings live in a local SQLite ledger (`achilles.db`). The harness pairs with Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode via MCP — Achilles finds and triages; your editor applies patches with full ledger context.
